Purple Grove news

August 16, 2021

How lovely to have such a great weekend for all the family gatherings and picnics. Hope you were able to get out and enjoy the  weather. We are also thankful that there aren't as many mosquitoes compared to what there were in the spring.

Belated Birthday greetings to Bev Fry and Julie Thompson. Happy Birthday to Evan Becker, Lane Farrell, Aug. 14, and Danica Farrell of Holstein, Aug. 16. Happy Anniversary greetings to Shirley and Bob Harris who recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family camping gathering.

Thanks to the folks who put on the Kincardine Horticultural Society’s Garden Tour.

Heather Finnie and her grandchildren, Benjamin and Julianne Smith, visited great-grandma Irene Boyle recently in Walkerton.

Marianne Rhody and family of Brampton visited with Janet and Wayne Rhody.

We wish all our folks who aren't feeling well or are in the hospital, to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Wilma and Cecil Sutton visited with Margaret and Stewart Lane and appreciated the Antique Tractor parade in Lucknow. What fun to see all those old tractors!

It is good to see the gazebo at Lewis Park being so well-used. And thanks to the people who replenished the sand box - all the little (and big) ones enjoy playing there.

Thanks to the various churches that are sponsoring children's programs this summer, and to the hard-working leaders, providing good fun for local youth.
