The 78th Fraser Highlanders took the trophy for the top band at the Grade 1 level, at the Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games, July 2.
The Fraser Highlanders had the best pipes, the best drums and the best bass. In second place, was the Toronto Police Pipe Band, and in third, the Peel Regional Police Pipe Band.
For Grade 2, the Great Lakes Pipe Band of Cleveland, Ohio, took first, followed by the 400th Squadron Pipes and Drums, and the Paris-Port Dover Pipe Band.
The Great Lakes Pipe Band had the best drums and best bass, while it was a three-way tie for the best pipes.

In Grade 3, the Rob Roy Pipe Band won the trophy, followed by the Hamilton Police Pipes and Drums, and the Windsor Police Pipe Band.
The Hamilton Police Pipes and Drums had the best drums and the best bass, while the Windsor Police and the Toronto Police pipe bands tied for the best pipes.
For Grade 4, the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa took the trophy, followed by the Paris-Port Dover Pipe Band, and the Barrie Pipes and Drums.

In Grade 5, the Hamilton Police Pipes and Drums won the trophy, followed by the Grand Celtic Pipe Band and the London Firefighters Pipe Band.
The Hamilton Police Pipes and Drums had the best bass and drums, while the London Firefighters Pipe Band had the best pipes.
The competition drew 27 pipe bands, with a tremendous massed band performance following the competition, Saturday evening.
