Rughookers gather in Victoria Park, Kincardine, for Hooking in the Park
August 22, 2017
About 50 members of the Ontario Hooking Craft Guild gathered in Victoria Park, Kincardine, for the 22nd annual Hooking in the Park.
The Saugeen Rug Hookers of Southampton and Port Elgin hosted the event, welcoming ladies from Chatsworth, Guelph, Hanover, London, Mildmay, Markdale, Ferndale, Ancaster, Goderich and Kincardine.
The members spent the afternoon hooking their artwork and enjoyed seeing what their fellow artisans have been creating. This included some show-and-tell by those who are in the midst of, or have completed, some gorgeous rughooking pieces.
The annual event was founded by Margaret Humphrey of Kincardine who died in February of this year.
