News and views along Highway 9, as well as Halloween decorations and a glorious sunset

By: Liz Dadson
October 7, 2017

There's nothing like a road trip to Walkerton to find out where all the road construction is happening along Highway 9.

And so it was, Wednesday, with the sudden knowledge of Highway 9 being reduced to one lane, just west of Bervie, for the replacement of a culvert.

Then, the newly-revamped section of Bruce County Road 1, from Glammis to Kinloss, to line up with the section that runs south into Lucknow.

Some hard-working soul already has Halloween decorations strung along the front of a house, east of Kincardine.

Meanwhile, in Kincardine a lot of digging was going on at the Penetangore Bluffs development on Durham Street, as a stormwater system and new driveway were being installed.

And heavy rain Wednesday, turned the construction zone at the entrance to the Davidson Centre into a quagmire.

Finally, the day ended with a glorious sunset.
