(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH and NORTH HURON, ON) - A 24-year-old Huron-Kinloss man and a 22-year-old Guelph woman are facing a number of Possession of Stolen Property charges in relation to two arrests made by Huron County OPP late last week.

Jan. 3, Huron OPP officers were contacted by an Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh resident who reported her Chevrolet Avalanche pick-up truck had been stolen from her Blyth Road residence. Investigators were ultimately successful in tracking the stolen truck to a residence located on Currie Line in North Huron.

Upon determining the location of the stolen truck, officers were granted permission to search the property; whereupon, they located the stolen truck along with a stolen Arctic Cat snowmobile, a stolen Polaris snowmobile, a stolen Easy Hauler snowmobile trailer and some stolen vehicle documents.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 24-year-old Scott ADAMSON of Huron-Kinloss with six counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and one count of Fail to Comply with a Recognizance. He remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for Jan. 12, at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.

Ashley LAUZON, 22, of Guelph has been charged with six counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. She has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for Feb. 5, at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.

*THESE CHARGES HAVE YET TO BE PROVEN IN COURT*
