Kincardine Sparks and Brownies enjoy STEM Camp sleepover

By: Liz Dadson
February 10, 2018

About a dozen Kincardine Sparks and Brownies, and three leaders gathered at Kincardine Baptist Church for their STEM (Science, Technology Engineering and Math) Camp sleepover, Jan. 19-20.

Working with the girls were Guiders Alicia Noakes (Starry Owl), Rebecca Jones (Sunny Own) and Jaci Rowe (Sky Owl).

Besides doing a variety of STEM activities, such as making glo-sticks and playing science games, the girls learned about setting up camp, preparing food, and cleaning up afterward. They also enjoyed making snowmen and holding a campfire a Wildfang Park.

The spring session continues to May 15. Special events coming up include a Valentine's Day party Tuesday (Feb. 13) and Thinking Day activities Feb. 20 and 27.
