Kincardine club hosts ski race at Stoney Island

The Kincardine Cross-Country Ski Club held a five-kilometre race, Saturday, at Stoney Island Conservation Area, located just north of the Town of Kincardine on the B-line (Bruce County Road 23).

Snow conditions were perfect.

The race was closely-contested, with Henry van der Vlies leading for the first lap, but then being overtaken by Alison Hooper who held on to her lead in the second lap to win.

Not far behind was Jana Mika who beat off several challenges by fourth placed Glen Norcliffe.
