John Douglas Ward died peacefully, Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Huronview, Clinton, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Mary (Lee) Ward (nee Walsh). Loving father of Terry Ward (Julie), Douglas Ward (Darlene) and Sandra Zieske (Marvin). Dear grandfather of Shannon, Adam (Daisy), Melissa (Jason), and Spencer; and five great-grandchildren. Brother of the late Betty Wright (late Ken), late Don Ward (Fern), late Gerald Ward (late Pat) and Larry Ward (Diane). Remembered by extended family and friends. John was a man of adventure. Raised in Clinton, at the young age of 15, he set out and began working on the railway. He spent some of his working career running the Dresden Hotel but life eventually took John to Uniroyal Tires where he worked for 30 years in several positions, ending his career as a technical supervisor. John spent winters in Florida, loved to fish, work in his garden, and socialize with his many friends. With the ability to make people laugh, John touched the lives of many and he will be dearly missed. Private family service. Interment, Kincardine Cemetery.
