Harold Frederick Howald, died at his home for the past 17 years, Parkwood Institute, London, with family by his side, July 12, 2019, at the age of 88. Born in Dashwood, April 3, 1931, he was the son of the late Annie (Stebbings) and Arthur Howald. Dear father of Anthony (Connie) of Lucknow, Fred of Port Albert, Janette Everson of Lucknow, and Darlene (Robbin Seymour) of Cranbrook. Missed by his grandchildren, Kayla Rivett, Brandon Howald, Zachery Everson, Joshua Everson, Jamie Howald and Victor Howald; and his great-granddaughter, Quinn. Survived by his sister, Leonna Jones. Predeceased by his brothers, Elmer, Harvey, Norman, Ervin, Melvin, and Earl; and sisters, Eileen Abram, Idella Abram, and Viola Silvestro. Harold served in the Korean War from 1951-54. He loved fishing and hunting in Northern Ontario, especially the Nipigon area. He was a plasterer by trade and could do most anything in construction. His final years were spent at the Parkwood Institute in London, where he received compassionate care for which his family is very grateful. Private family arrangements have been made. Interment, Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. Memorial donations to St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation (Parkwood Institute) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
