Tiverton Winterfest slated for Feb. 14-15
The annual Tiverton Winterfest offers a full weekend of cozy winter fun for all ages, Feb. 14-15.
Saturday's events include:
- Story time at the Tiverton Library, from 11 a.m. to Noon.
- Snow sculpture contest, on the ball diamonds beside the Tiverton Lions Hall. Get creative with all this snow, and begin sculpting anytime after Feb. 9. Judging takes place Saturday at Noon. Register with Lion Ron Manto at 519-368-5386.
- Hot dogs and hot chocolate, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tiverton Lions Hall.
- Progressive euchre tournament, 1 p.m., Knox Presbyterian Church. Cost is $5/player.
- Mega TV Bingo Night, 5-10:30 p.m., Tiverton Lions Hall - 16 games • $5,450 in prizes • $2,500 jackpot. Tickets are $30, call Lion Guy Martin at 519-368-7871.
Sunday's activities include:
- Winterfest worship and chili luncheon, 10 a.m., at Knox Presbyterian Church, with the lunch at 11:30 a.m.
- Family fun skating party, Noon to 1 p.m., Tiverton Sports Centre: public skating; face-painting, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; hot dogs and hot chocolate, Noon to 2 p.m.
- Horse-drawn wagon rides, Noon to 3 p.m., Tiverton Sports Centre
- Spaghetti Dinner, 5-7 p.m., Whitney Crawford Community Centre - Adults, $20; Seniors/Students, $15; age 10 and under, free.
