Linda Deborah Pannell of Kincardine died at home surrounded by love, Dec. 7, 2023, at the age of 76. Survived by her loving daughters, Deborah (Wayne Burke), and Melissa (Anthony Matthews); her grandchildren, Jessica, Kylee (Evan Koller), Lily, Kate James and Ella; and her two great-granddaughters, Everly James and Eliza Lynn. Predeceased by her husband, James (Jim). Linda was born June 21, 1947, in Timmins. She met Jim in Vancouver where their love story began and carried on for more than 50 years. Together, they published Marketplace Magazine for more than 30 years where she was the quiet, supportive force behind the success of their business. Being a very involved parent and grandparent, she attended more than 50 years of Christmas concerts, plays, graduations and anything the children and grandchildren took an interest in. She was their number one cheerleader. Her girls were her pride and joy and she was a loving and nurturing Nana. Even at the end, she found a way to smile and laugh. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her love of her girls, and one particular brand of lipstick! We will miss her dearly. We love you. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, from 12 p.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m., with Crystal Morais officiating. The reception will follow at Bar Down in downtown Kincardine. Spring Interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, would be appreciated by her family. |
