Anna "Joyce" Courtney (nee Campbell), beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Courtney, died peacefully with family by her side, Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, at the age of 92. Born May 17, 1931, in Amberley, she was the daughter of the late Noma (Shiells) and William Campbell. Loving mother of Dennis Courtney, Wendy (Tom) Leonard, Michael (Debbie) Courtney and Shannon (Bill) Henderson. Greatly missed by her eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister, Joan (Ellwood) Irwin; and sister-in-law, Geraldine McLeod; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son, Patrick Courtney; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Bill Kempton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leonard and Muriel Courtney; and brother-in-law, Carmen McLeod. Joyce was a hard-working and dedicated volunteer in her church and her community. Visitation will be held at the Pine River United Church, Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. (one hour prior to the funeral service). The funeral will follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Wonder Chimvinga officiating. A private spring interment service will be held at Lurgan Cemetery.
