WILLIAM DAVID DOUGLAS GREB

William David Douglas Greb of Sebringville, formerly of Kincardine, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, at Hope Street Terrace, Port Hope, at the age of 79. Born Feb. 24, 1944, in Stratford, he was the son of Douglas Greb and Meadie McKay. Bill is survived by his wife, Diane Henderson; son, Douglas (Beth); and daughters, Dineane (Matt), Corrie Gregory (Hayden), Lani Greb, and Angie Carter (Al). Also survived by his grandchildren, Thomas, Steven, Bradley, Carmen, Max, Aaron, Adam, Alan, Brady, Victoria, and Jordan (Chrissy); and two great-grandchildren, Aubree and Weston. Survived by his sisters, Linda Payzant (Doug) and Marilyn Grogan; and the Henderson sisters and brothers-in-law. Predeceased by his parents; his sister, Paula; and mother- and father-in-law, John and Pearl Henderson. Bill loved athletics, particularly baseball, hockey, and golf. He enjoyed travelling, boating on the Trent Canal and taking pictures of sunsets wherever he went; especially the beautiful sunsets over Lake Huron. He and his family lived in Kincardine for more than 20 years and owned the Kincardinite Motel. Bill was a member of the Kincardine Kinsmen and the Kincardine Lions Club, played for the Kincardine Oldtimers hockey team and Kincardine Allsorts slow-pitch team. Bill retired from Ontario Power Generation (OPG) in 2009; and he and Diane spent their winters in Florida. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Bill (Grebbie) will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
