BRYAN RICHARD WARNE

March 31, 2024

Good Ole’ Hespeler Boy, Bryan Richard Warne, died March 31, 2024, at the Huron Shore Hospice in Tiverton, at the age of 47. Bryan died peacefully after a lengthy battle with a malignant brain tumour. He fought valiantly as the disease kept robbing him of his independence. Along the way, he brought hope to others who were dealing with emotional and physical disabilities. He took up watercolour painting and made many masterpieces which he freely gave to friends and family. He painted with only his left arm as his right side was totally disabled. What a joy he found in trying to maintain his independence. Bryan is survived by his parents, Rev. Rick Warne (Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton) and Mary (Jackson) Warne; his brother, Brad (Tracey) Warne, and cherished nephews, Aiden and Preston, of Breslau. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Bryan grew up in Hespeler and his heart always remained there. He loved hiking around town and had many special places, such as the Black Bridge and in Silver Heights. He was the goalie for travel teams in Hespeler as No. 30 for many years. He attended Hespeler Public School and made friends easily. He also had an animal magnetism (cats, dogs, birds and even a dolphin on holidays). The family acknowledges his best friends (family), Cheri Noseworthy and Terry Davis, without whom we couldn’t have made it through this struggle. They were such a strength to Bryan and our family. Thank you for everything. You gave Bryan the best years of his life. His happiness at sharing work stories and experiences with the Davis Holdings family brought such joy to us. He really enjoyed the day they delivered a borrowed electric wheelchair to him at Freeport Hospital. “I’m outta here,” was on video as he quickly bolted away. Thank you to the Cambridge Hospital, Freeport Hospital, and Listowel Caressant Care Retirement Living for the care he received. We especially thank Dr. Samawi, Dr. Ramos and their team of compassionate, skilled cancer specialists, as well as Dr. Omar for his surgical skills at the Hamilton General Hospital. We mostly appreciated having Bryan at the Kincardine Hospital where Dr. Damian Gunaratne and the staff were very kind and caring and attentive, and it was so close to visit. We are so grateful that Bryan was sent to Huron Shores Hospice in Tiverton where every need was met with dignity, care and kindness, not only for him but our family as well. Thank you all; you are angels. As per Bryan’s request, there will be no funeral. He has been cremated. There will be a Celebration of Life in Hespeler at a later date and will be announced at that time. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to Huron Shores Hospice in Tiverton or the Hamilton General Hospital for Brain research.
