Corinne Marie Louther (Boyle) of Walkerton died peacefully, April 5, 2024, in her 62nd year. Survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, John; and her three boys who were the light of her life, Bo (Jessie), Colton (Maddi), and Chase. She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Bryan (Janet), Bonnie, Kerry and Heather (Sam Finnie); mother-in-law, Mary Louther; and brother-in-law, Dan (Shelley Walmsley). Predeceased by her parents, Francis and Irene Boyle; her brother, Kevin; and father-in-law, Bill Louther. Fondly remembered by 12 nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and -nephews, upon whom she continually showered with love. Corinne was so appreciative of the love of family and friends as they rallied around her through her journey with pancreatic cancer over the past year. Her spirit and will to live every day to the very fullest, truly impressed those close to her, including the medical team who supported her. In the words of one of her doctors, “Corinne was both inspired and inspirational to others, with her strength and perseverance.” Corinne embodied loyalty and devotion as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and true friend. Her smile and genuine camaraderie made her a treasured friend, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives. Her positivity and ability to “see the glass as half-full” was demonstrated throughout her entire lifetime, including during her final days spent with us. She was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, and an exceptional businesswoman. She was passionate about her vocation at Wescast Industries, the Walkerton Clean Water Centre, and most recently, with the Aboriginal Water and Wastewater Association of Ontario. John and her boys truly loved and respected Corinne as the “heart of their home.” Her ongoing contribution to their lives will be sorely missed. Corinne and John loved music, and nothing better than a good concert. She was so looking forward to one more Bruce Springsteen concert in November. Her skill and ability to capture the perfect picture as our family’s designated photographer will live on in the countless photos she took over many years. As we bid farewell to dear Corinne, her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Let us cherish our countless memories of this remarkable woman. John and the boys wish to acknowledge the wonderful demonstration of support from her family, friends, and health-care professionals. We are humbled, comforted, grateful, and enriched. Cremation has taken place, and a private funeral service will be held at the Cameron Funeral Home in Walkerton. All are welcome to celebrate Corinne’s life with the family, Friday, April 12, from 1-4 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Walkerton. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Walkerton and District Hospital Foundation or Saugeen Hospice would be appreciated by the family. |
