Archie Alexander Lamont, formerly of Kincardine, died at the Southampton Care Centre, Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Virginia (née Stone) Lamont (July 2022). Loving father of Cheryl Lamont (Bill Harrison) and Vicki Lamont. Sadly missed by his granddaughters, Jessica Lamont and Mia McDonald; and great-granddaughter, Isla Pearl. Dear brother of Lloyd (Muriel) Lamont, George Lamont, Alvin Lamont, Elmer Lamont, and Betty-Jean MacDonald. Fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Lamont and Darlene Lamont; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents, Colin and Lillian (née Haines) Lamont; brothers, Norman, Harold, Leonard, Colin, Doug, Kevin and Gordie Lamont; sisters, Evelyn Fox, Gladys Wylds, Jennie MacDonald and LilyMae Lamont; sisters-in-law, Helen, Gail, Marie and Marg Lamont; and brothers-in-law, Elmer Wylds, Russell Fox and Ken MacDonald. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Friday, April 12, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., where the funeral will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2 p.m., with Ann Maycock officiating. Interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Reception for family and friends will be held in the Davey-Linklater Lounge following the committal service at the cemetery. Memorial donations to Huron Shores Hospice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
