ALYSSA CHRISTINE McPHERSON

Alyssa Christine McPherson of Kincardine, died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, Monday, May 13, 2024 in her 39th year. Beloved daughter of Scott McPherson, the late Brenda Catto, and her loving stepmom, Carrie McPherson. Lovingly remembered by her brother, Mark (Lorelle Hedley) McPherson, and their daughters, Bria and Brooke McPherson of London; twin sister, Amanda McPherson (Dustin Mayhew), and their children, Carter and Gracelynn of Scarborough; step-brother, Michael (Laura Love) Hammond of Salt Spring Island, British Columbia; and step-brother, Benjamin (Victoria) Hammond, and their sons, Samuel and William of Acton. Sadly missed by her loving grandfather, Mervin Catto, and his wife, Jeanette Catto. Also loved and survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Predeceased by her mother, Brenda Joan (née Catto) McPherson; sister, Melissa McPherson; grandfather, Sandy McPherson; grandmother, Jean McPherson; and grandmother, Marguerite Catto. Alyssa was a beautiful, loving person who was brave, and met challenges head on. She loved all things from knitting to cooking, Special Olympics and hanging out with family and friends. She loved watching hockey with her dad and brother, and was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan through-and-through. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Leanne Thomson and the Kincardine Family Health Team doctors for their care of Alyssa; as well as the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, inpatient staff for the care over the past eight months. The team made a huge difference in making her comfortable and happy. A private family graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the Tiverton Cemetery, with Rev. Rick Warne officiating. A Come-and-Go Celebration of Life and sharing of stories for friends and family, will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 2 p.m. Memorial donations to the Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary or the Tiverton Lions Club (Splash Pad), would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy; arrangements entrusted to the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine; www.daveylinklaterfuneralhome.com.
