Leroy "Roy" McIntosh Elliott of Huron Township, died peacefully, Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine. He was 95. Lovingly remembered by his partner of 60 years, Lois Hackett; and his family, Shelly (Mike) Pollock, Blair (Laura Comrie) Pollock, Lana (Brendan) Tanner and Jessie Tanner. Survived by his in-laws, Evelyn Elliott, Karen and Bill Fry, Ruth Slesser and Carole Ehrich; and several nieces, nephews and greats. Predeceased by his parents; brother, Jack; sisters, Jean and husband, Gordon Farrell, Eileen and husband, Doug MacDonald, Marj and husband, George Johnson; and nephews, Doug and Christopher Farrell. Roy lived 95 years where he was born and raised, enjoying his life as a successful beef and cash-crop farmer. Trips to the western provinces as a cattle dealer were always a passion and in retirement, attending or watching rodeos on television continued to be a highlight. A private graveside service will be held at Kincardine Cemetery.
