HELEN JEAN ROBINSON

Helen Jean Robinson, formerly of Kincardine, died peacefully in Listowel, Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the age of 95. She lived at RR 4, Tara with her husband, Murray Scott. Helen was born in Hamilton, March 3, 1929, daughter of the late Kathleen (Browning) and George Robinson of Southampton. She grew up in Kincardine and loved the beach and swimming. She also enjoyed playing cards, dancing and bowling. She worked as payroll clerk at Hanover Kitchens for many years. Helen really enjoyed cheering on the Owen Sound Attack hockey team as she listened to the Friday night home games on the radio. She loved family gatherings and reunions. Loved mother of Mike Shepski (Susan) of Listowel and Tom Shepski of Bruce Mines. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Adam Shepski (Melissa) of Buckhorn and Paul Shepski (Emily) of Vancouver, British Columbia; and great-grandchildren, Elijah, Caedmon, and Rees Shepski of Buckhorn. Also greatly missed by her sister-in-law, Audrey Robinson of Kincardine; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Sadly missed by her husband, Murray Scott, and his family, Steve Scott (Laura) of Flagstaff, Arizona; Margaret Greenaway (Tom) of Owen Sound; and Marc Scott (Kim) of Kilsyth; and their families. Helen touched the lives of extended family, friends and neighbours with her smile and welcoming manner. Predeceased by her daughter, Joanne Shepski; brother, Harvey Robinson; sister, Georgeen (Jo) Micks; and brother-in-law, Arthur Micks. Following Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and an inurnment will be held at the Kincardine Cemetery, 294 Bruce Avenue, Kincardine, Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, at 10 a.m. A celebration of her life will follow the inurnment, at the Anglican Church of the Messiah, 421 Russell Street, Kincardine.
