CINDY BISSETT-ELPHICK

October 19, 2024

Cindy Bissett-Elphick of Ashfield Township, died Oct. 19, 2024 at the age of 61. She left this world, surrounded by family, at Jessica’s House Hospice, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Survived by her loving husband, Brian Elphick. Loving Mom of Natasha (Gordon) and Rob (Jen); and doting Nana/Grandma to “her greatest blessings,” Jade, Peyton, Landyn, Lauren, Lyla, Ezra, Charlie-John and Avis (coming, February, 2025). Sister of Jim Bissett and Crystal Snelgrove. Predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Bissett; brother, Jeff Bissett; and sister-in-law, Donna Bissett. Cindy is the daughter-in-law of Ken and Joyce Elphick; and sister-in-law of Annette (Leroy), Kendra (Roger) and Charlene (Ronnie). Missed by her furry best friends, Minnie and Hudson. She will be missed as an aunt, niece, cousin and friend to many. Cindy lived her life to the fullest and surrounded herself with people she loved dearly. If she knew someone was struggling, she was the first to lend a hand, offer a hug or give her best mom advice. It is without a doubt that when she met Brian, she had finally found her soul mate and they shared a love and bond most people dream of. She took the title of “a farmer’s wife” very seriously and loved every second of it. Her kids and grandkids were the light of her life and the foundation of the reason she fought so hard to win the battles she faced. We all lost a remarkable woman and heaven gained the strongest and most beautiful angel. Her legacy will live on through Brian, her children and grandchildren as she taught each of us the true meaning of love and determination and to fight for what we believe in! “We’ve got this, Momma Bear!” Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024, from 6-8pm, at the McCallum and Palla Funeral Home, Goderich. A second visitation was held Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, from 10-11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. Interment, Maitland Cemetery. Donations to Jessica’s House Hospice would be greatly appreciated in honour of Cindy.
