Mary Frances Cook (nee MacLeod) of Ripley, died at the Kincardine Hospital, Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Graham Llewelyn Cook. Dear mother of Donna MacLennan of Ripley, Cameron and Brenda of Glammis, Kevin and Cathy of Amberley, and David and Veronika of Ripley. Greatly missed by her grandchildren, Chris, Dan, Mellissa, Craig, Heather, Cristy, Chad, Jessie, Jean, Graham, Kevin Jr., Emily, and Robert. Also survived by 33 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren, as well as her sister-in-law, Audrey Stephenson of Belgrave; and brother-in-law, Austin “Joe” Cook of Oakville. Predeceased by her daughter, Helen Kerr. Mary was born in Kincardine, March 27, 1935, daughter of the late Helen and Malcolm MacLeod. She was a lifelong hobby farmer and lover of cats; a true Scotswoman to the end. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at the Ripley-Huron Legion, Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, from Noon to 4 p.m. We are asking all to wear red to the Legion. Just like her fieriness, red was the colour she loved the most. Spring interment, Ripley Cemetery.
