ROY TRACK

April 13, 2025

Roy Track of Kincardine died April 13, 2025, at the age of 92. He leaves behind his children, Lynn (Peter), Gary (Dana), Bruce (Tracy) and Brian’s partner Chrissie. Dad was so proud of his grandchildren, Craig (Alisha), Ryan, Melissa (Steve) and Jessica; and he adored his visits with his great-grandchildren, Arianna, Owen, Marissa, Logan and Adaline. Predeceased by Jackie, his wife of 66 years; and their youngest son, Brian. Roy joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) at age 17 and served across Canada and in Germany. After retiring from the military, he enjoyed a second career with Bruce Power where he worked with computers and simulators long before they became common. He maintained his connection with the Air Force by working with the Air Cadet Squadron in Kincardine. Roy met Jackie on a visit to Manitoba with a co-worker who didn’t think he should spend Christmas alone at the Cold Lake, Alberta, Air Base. They were married six months later. Retirement gave Roy the time to travel with Jackie, for more bird-watching, time for their extensive gardens at the north end of Queen Street in Kincardine, and to hone his woodworking and carving skills. His love of family shows in all the pieces that will forever remind us of him, whether it is a chest, mirror or a beautiful doll house. No one in our family will ever be able to see a bird without thinking of him and particularly, the special ones represented in the carvings he made for each of us. A memorial service to honour his life will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Friday, May 2, 2025, at 1 p.m., followed by a social time to reminisce. Interment for immediate family only, at Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
