OLESIA (LISA) KLEIN-HAAR
April 23, 2025
Olesia (Lisa) Klein-Haar of Kincardine died April 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Lisa lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, music, and love. She brought colour and joy to every room she entered and left a legacy of kindness, creativity, humour, and deep devotion to those she held dear. Lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, John, with whom she shared a life filled with love, travel, and pets. Devoted mother of Jodi, Tim, and Karolyn. Predeceased by her son, Joshua John, who died in infancy; as well as her mother-in-law, Wilma. Lisa adored her feline companions, Poppy (re-homed), Junior (a stray), and Mickey (adopted from the neighbour), and always found comfort in their company. Born to Terry and Josephine, both of whom predeceased her, Lisa grew up surrounded by love, especially alongside her beloved twin sister, Terri. She leaves behind her brother Lanny; her in-laws, Bill and Gail, and Ann and Fred; and will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, Jennifer, Vanessa, Liz, Holly, and Nicole, each of whom held a special place in her heart and brought her great joy. She also had other extended family whom she adored, in France, California, and Ottawa. Lisa had a unique zest for life. A lover of music, she played the bass, guitar, and several other instruments. She enjoyed orchestras, the theatre guild, teaching guitar, and watching her husband in the garden. She was well-known as the Easter Bunny Lady, bringing her bunnies to local schools and retirement homes. She sang with heart and soul, creating rhymes that brought smiles to friends and family. Whether it was dressing up for a celebration, soaking in the sun, or filling her home with laughter, cooking, and music, Lisa thrived when surrounded by those she loved. A celebration of her life will be held at the Kincardine Pavilion, Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 3-5 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to gather, share memories, and dress casually — just as Lisa would have wanted. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Lisa’s memory; arrangements entrusted to Huron Shores Cremation Limited, Port Elgin; www.huronshorescremation.com.
