CODY JAMES DEARDEN

Cody James Dearden of Owen Sound, died suddenly, Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the age of 21. Loving son of Tammy Brooklyn (Scott) and Mike Dearden (Suzanne). Brother of Brandon Reid-Wells (Tiffany Gervais), Noah Brooklyn, Jasper Brooklyn, Nicole Goveia (Travis Abbott), Samantha Gouveia, Dylan Gouveia (Aly Hunt), Asche Gouveia and Harmony Ransome (Riley Harrison). Remembered by his grandparents, Debbie Wells, Doug Dearden, Marilyn McNabb and Magdaline Fiore. Beloved by Jade Parker and son, Finley James Parker. Cody leaves behind a large extended family, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, who will miss him dearly. Predeceased by his grandparents, Tom “Skip Wells and Ada Dearden. Cody enjoyed paintball, scooters and vehicles of all shapes and sizes. From a very early age, he was taking something apart to see how it worked. A little dirt under his nails never stopped him from tinkering and fixing; he was mechanically inclined. A celebration to honour Cody’s life will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, 2-5 p.m., at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 183, Kincardine, with remembrances shared at 2:30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Ronald McDonald House Charities Southwestern Ontario or the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Grey Bruce, would be appreciated by the family.
