GLENN WILLIAM MORNINGSTAR

April 2, 2026

Glenn William Morningstar, of Port Elgin, formerly of Lucknow, lovingly known to all as "Mooner," died peacefully, at Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound, surrounded by his family, Thursday, April 2, 2026, in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Shirley, for more than 50 years. Loving Dad of Lindsay and her husband, Chris Conley; and Andrew and his partner, Shawna. Proud Grandpa of Will and Max. Glenn had a deep love of hockey, a passion that brought him joy throughout his life, still playing into his 70s. He spent many hours watching his grandsons play, cheering proudly in the stands. He was known for his strong work ethic and took great pride in everything he did. In his spare time, Glenn could often be found outside, carefully washing or working on one of his cherished vintage cars. No matter how busy he was, he never failed to offer a warm wave or friendly greeting to neighbours passing by. Glenn’s family expresses sincere gratitude to the staff members of Units 4-6, Owen Sound Hospital, for their compassion and care during the past year, as well as Chapman House for the wonderful support in the last few days of Glenn’s life. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeshore Recreation, 1177 Goderich Street, Port Elgin, Friday, April 10, 2026, from 2-6 p.m., with words of remembrance at 3 p.m. Memorial donations to the Grey Bruce Hospice Foundation - Chapman House or Jump Start Charity, would be appreciated by the family; arrangements entrusted to the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, Port Elgin; https://www.brownfamilyfuneralhomes.com/.
