ETHEL "IOLENE" BRADLEY (née FITZGERALD)

Ethel “Iolene” Bradley (née Fitzgerald), formerly of Kincardine, died peacefully at Central Place Retirement Community, Owen Sound, Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, at the age of 95. Iolene was predeceased by her husband, William “Karl” Bradley, and her brothers, William, Levi and Orville Fitzgerald. Dear mother of William and his wife, Carol of Owen Sound; and John and his wife, Doris of Fort Frances. Also sadly missed by five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, three nephews and two nieces. She is survived by her sister, Gladys Walpole of Kincardine. Iolene was a hairstylist in Meaford for many years. She was proud to be a member of the Bervie Women’s Institute, the Rebekah Lodge, the Eastern Star and the Kincardine Legion. She was an avid card player, bowler and shuffleboard player. Iolene particularly enjoyed travelling with her children to Ireland and throughout Canada and the United States. Special thanks to the staff at Central Place where Iolene lived for the last three years. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, from 2-4 p.m., where the funeral will be held Monday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating. Interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
