Howard Keith Armstrong of Ripley, died peacefully, Monday, June 3, 2019, at Huron Shores Hospice, in his 96th year. A proud veteran of the Second Wold War, Keith served in the Air Force as an air frame mechanic and returned home in 1946. He will be missed by his many friends and comrades at the Kincardine and Ripley Legions. Survived by his son, Jerry Armstrong; grandson, Keith Armstrong; great-granddaughter, Heather Armstrong in British Columbia; step-daughter, Charlene Gomes; and his sister, Bernice Hartwick. He will be remembered by three generations of his large extended family, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his brother, Myles Armstrong; and his sister Audrey Currie. A Royal Canadian Legion service will take place, Monday, June 10, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine. Visitation will follow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Keith’s life will be held at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Marsha Roberts officiating.
