Thomas John “Tom” Hogan of Kingsbridge, died at the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich, Sunday, June 23, 2019, at the age of 72, after a hard-fought battle with necrotizing pancreatitis. Born in Wingham, July 31, 1946, he was the son of the late Marie (Cote) and Dennis Hogan. Beloved husband of Karla Hogan (Riegling) for 48 years. Greatly missed by his children, Rhonda (Mike) Munro of Embro, Tommy (Shannon) Hogan of Ashfield Township, Tammy (Don) Zilliax of Listowel and Dennis (Kim) Hogan of Goderich and grandchildren, Brett, Calvin, Kyle, Sean, Joel, Jack, Ted, Max, Benson and Anna. Also survived by his siblings, Rosemary (Stan) Holloway of Stratford, Ron (Heather) Hogan of Port Elgin, Jim Hogan of Ashfield Township, and Mike (Helen) Hogan of Eden Grove. Predeceased by his sister-in-law, Bonnie Hogan. Tom farmed and worked at the Goderich mine for 38 years. He volunteered as a Cub Scout leader, and at the Lucknow and Goderich Blood Donor Clinics, as well as being an active member of the Kingsbridge and Goderich Knights of Columbus, Lucknow Lions and Dungannon Seniors. He was a huge fan of his children's and grandchildren’s sporting events, and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, welding and tinkering or inventing to make things easier. He also loved his shop. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Goderich, Thursday, June 27, 2019, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception and celebration of Tom’s Life at the Kingsbridge Centre. Following Tom’s wishes, attire should be colourful and casual - no suits please! Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Kingsbridge. Memorial donations to the London Health Sciences Centre - University Hospital ICU; St. Joseph's Kingsbridge Community, or Lions Camp Dorset, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. |
