Geoffrey Hodgson of Kincardine died peacefully at home, July 20, 2019, in his 86th year. Lovingly remembered by Mary Baux, beloved partner of 30 years. Beloved father of Geraldine (Geoffrey) Graham, and Deborah (Nigel) Mellonie. Fondly and dearly remembered by his grandchildren, Jessica (Krystian) Lichota, James (Lisa) Graham, Lucy Stringer and Imogen Stringer; and his great-grandchildren, Oliver, Scarlett, Evangeline and Holly. Geoff will be missed by Mary’s children, Shelley Bonnett (Calvin), Christopher (Wendy) Baux, and David Baux; her grandchildren, Whitney Bonnett (Andrew), Lauren Bonnett (Lauren), Ryan Baux, Sophie Baux, and Tyler Baux; and great-granddaughter, Flora. Also missed by special niece, Jacqui Athersmith; and many other nieces, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Annie Hodgson his son, Geoffrey “Paul” Hodgson; and his sister, Elizabeth “Valerie” Boast. Geoffrey served as a British Merchant Navy engineer officer and was involved in helping people evacuate during the Suez Canal Crisis. He later became a mechanical maintenance foreman at Ontario Hydro where he worked for many years. He was also a member of the Kincardine Legion. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Anglican Church of the Messiah, Kincardine. Memorial donations to the Anglican Church of the Messiah, Kincardine, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be made through the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine (519-396-2701).
