Florence Elizabeth “Betty” Anne MacKinnon (née Surridge) of Tiverton, died peacefully at Grey-Bruce Health Services, Southampton, Monday, Nov. 18, in her 88th year. Beloved spouse of the late Robert “Bob” MacKinnon (2013). Cherished mother of John MacKinnon of Tiverton, Jean (Carl) Bowen of Belleville, Anne MacKinnon of Kincardine and Jamie MacKinnon of Tiverton. Devoted grandmother of John, Dan (Cherise), Sean (Amanda), Alexis (Chris), Corey, Jayson, Kaitlyn, and Kyle; and great-grandmother of Trenton, Aiden, Ruby, Brantley, Edith and Lucas. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents, James Edward and Mary Christena Surridge (née MacLean); brother, Mac (Clara) Surridge; daughter-in-law, Kelly MacKinnon; and granddaughter, Kelsey Hunter. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Betty’s life will follow at 12:30 p.m., with Rev. David Chang officiating. Final resting place, Tiverton Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
