Susan Kathleen Catto (née Quinn) of Kincardine, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Owen Sound hospital, Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at the age of 63. Cherished wife of Lloyd Catto. Loving mother of Olivia (Dustin) Freer of Ripley, and step-mother of Mitch Catto and Chris Catto, both of Chesley. Dear grandmother of Tyler, Hailey, Shia, and Kierce. Beloved sister of Helen (Mike) Riggin of Midland, Martin Quinn (Catherine Macleod) of Goderich, Judy (Dale) Baer of Arran–Elderslie, and Nancy (Tim) Potter of Kincardine. Remembered by the Catto family, Ron (Betty Jean), Mervin (Jeanette), Nute, Donna (Fred) Schuler, Don (Lorraine), Garry (Shirley), Helen Carr, Heather, Linda (Gerry) Brooks, and Ken (Debbie). Missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Harold and Joyce Quinn (née Martin); and in-laws, Jim Carr, Wayne Catto and Marg Catto. Lovingly remembered by dear friend and business partner of 33 years, Rick Skinner. Rick joined the Quinn Florist team in his teens, and eventually formed a partnership with Susan to take over Quinn Florist from her parents who started the business in 1947. Susan loved her family, her garden and her dog, Charlee. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held at the Kincardine United Church, Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Judy Zarubick officiating. Final resting place, Kincardine Cemetery. Following the interment, there will be a reception at the Kincardine Legion, 219 Lambton St., Kincardine. |
