Mary Rose “Rosie” Graham (née Vogt) of Kincardine, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, in her 64th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald “Danny” Angus Graham (2015). Cherished mother of Paul (Laura) Sandy of La Salle. Loving grandmother of Max, Madeleine and Xavier. Dear sister of Peter (Mary Beth) Vogt of Springfield, Virginia; Julie (Craig) Longlade of La Salle; Jean (Christopher) Heath of Chesterfield, Michigan; and Elizabeth (Doug) Davidson of Guelph. Fondly remembered by brother-in-law, Dave Burke of Lincoln, Michigan; and nieces and nephews, Krysta, Andrea, Moira, Ian, Hilary, Annaliese, Ursula, Nicole and Jayden. Also missed by many cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Peter and Stephanie Vogt (née Zrembski); and sisters, Ursula Vogt and Susan Burke. Rosie was big as life and loved all with whom she came in contact. She was loved deeply by many. She enjoyed strolls along Lake Huron, her gardens, and her road trip tours, especially in her beloved “Beastie.” Kincardine has lost a gem, and she will be missed by many in the community. Her involvement in the Blues Festival, Communities in Bloom, and her passion to brighten the downtown waterfront will be missed. More importantly, Rosie will be sadly missed by her family, especially her nieces and nephews and grandchildren. They all loved to stay with Aunt Rosie/Grandma and get spoiled. Visitation will take place at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, from 10-11:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service to honour Rosie’s life at Noon, with Rev. Lynne Wilson officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 183, Kincardine, from 1-4 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. |
