GORDON "GORD" RICHARD RODGERS

Gordon “Gord” Richard Rodgers of Kincardine, died at the South Bruce Grey Hospital, Kincardine, Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020 in his 87th year. Cherished husband of the late Jean (née Higgs) Rodgers (2014). Loving father of Karen Thomas of Peterborough, Gary Rodgers of London, and Lori (Greg) Smith of Kincardine. Beloved grandfather of five grandchildren. Dear brother of Allen (Claudia) Rodgers of Montreal. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gord and Jean owned and operated Jerome Flowers for many years in downtown Kincardine. He enjoyed visiting with people, and after moving into Malcolm Place, he could be seen touring along Queen Street in his scooter. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The funeral will follow at 12:30 p.m., with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating. Memorial donations to the Anglican Church of the Messiah, Kincardine, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Spring interment, St. Luke’s Cemetery.
