Douglas Graeme Coultes of Trillium Court Seniors' Community, Kincardine, died April 8, 2020, at the age of 75. Dear brother of Doris Coultes of Milverton, and brother-in-law of Sheryl Coultes of Edmonton, Alberta, and Linda Coultes of Elmira. Much loved uncle of Judy and Stephen, Denise and Pierre, Jennifer and Rich, Joanne and Brian, Jeff and Mickey and Mark and Nicole. Also survived by nine great-nieces and -nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Norman and Mary Coultes; brothers, Jim, Ken, and Grant; and sister, Ruth Olson and her husband, Neil. Doug was a strong, independent person who fought through, and overcame, many adversities in his life. The task at hand was never too daunting. A secondary school math teacher, Doug mentored not only his siblings, nieces and nephews, but many students in the Ripley and Kincardine areas. He lived in Ripley for almost 50 years and took an active role in the community. Doug was a charter member of the Ripley and District Lions Club, and enjoyed all sports as a coach and spectator. The Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays have lost another devoted fan. In accordance with Doug’s wishes, there will be no funeral home visitation or service. Inurnment at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave, Ontario. Memorial donations to Ripley Lions Club, Ripley-Huron Community Centre or Belgrave Community Centre, would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
