DOUG HAROLD DRENNAN

Doug Harold Drennan of Ashfield Township and Kincardine, died peacefully April 24, 2020, at Huron Hospice. He was in the 91st year of a life well -lived. Loving father of Dennis (Joanne) of Goderich, and Al (Jean) of Whitby. Grandfather of Philip (Ansley) of Waterloo, Laurel of London, Kevin (Nick) of New York, and step-grandson Keith (Hannah) of San Francisco. Predeceased by his loving wife of 67 years, Thelma (Kennedy); his parents, Isabel (MacDonald) and Ellwood Drennan; and his brothers, Bill and Ken. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He has been reunited with Thelma, playing afternoon euchre before a potluck dinner and enjoying TV bingo, the Leafs, and the Blue Jays. Doug farmed and drove a school bus in Ashfield Township for 25 years. He then took his talents to Cedar Grove Senior Citizens’ Apartments in Kincardine, where he was superintendent for the building. He and Thelma happily lived there for 35 years and played an important role in the social life of this community. After the loss of his wife, Doug spent almost two years at Goderich Place Seniors’ Residence where he enjoyed the care, friendly atmosphere, and musical entertainment of that special community. A celebration of Doug’s life will be held, when appropriate, at a later date. Final resting place, Kincardine Cemetery.
