Loving father of Mark (Heather Kenny) Holmes and Pamela (George) Plagos. Dear grandfather of Nick (Rachel), Andrea (Lucas), Quinn and Aidan; and great-grandfather of Nolan. Remembered by his brothers-in-law, Mervyn Rooke and Aldon (Faye) Rooke; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed as a pillar of his community and his church, sharing his many talents, time, and passion for nature with his many friends and acquaintances for more than 50 years. An avid naturalist, Glen loved the outdoors and was a highly-regarded bird-watcher and photographer. Like many in town, he was also an expert in capturing the famous Lake Huron sunsets. His award-winning photography is well-known to many in Kincardine and surrounding areas. Hundreds of local events - from Queen Street parades, to music festivals, to daily life - achieved immortality through the lens of his camera and video recordings. Glen was also active in music and performance, singing in church and local choirs, and regularly attending symphony concerts. He and his wife, Elaine, travelled much of the world and enjoyed experiencing each country’s unique scenery and culture. Memorial donations to the Kincardine United Church or the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. A private family memorial service will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine. Final resting place, Kincardine Cemetery.
