JOHN CLARKE McKAY |
May 30, 2020 |
John Clarke McKay of Kincardine, died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, Saturday, May 30, 2020, in his 61st year. Devoted father of Aiden McKay, and dear husband, brother and friend. John enjoyed people. He was happiest at get-togethers with family and friends who were always entertained by his humour and wit. He had a background in the food industry and enjoyed cooking and eating good food. We could find him manning the stove or the campfire whenever there was a crowd around. John travelled as much as possible and that fit well with his adventurous spirit. He was known to be a smart and creative man, qualities which stood him well as an entrepreneur, working and managing pastry shops in the Fairmont hotels' kitchens, and a bakery in Moncton, and most recently, operating a local handy-man business. Thank you to his friends, Andrew, Steve, Mike S., Eian and Mike M., whose concern for John were true supports. Thank you to hospital palliative care nurse Trudy who, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, made a difficult situation a little easier. John is survived by his son, Aiden; Debbie; siblings, Sandra and Coral Pellerin, Ken and Kim McKay, and Doucet and Ann McKay; and many nieces and nephews. We pray that John has found the peace that appeared to elude him these past few years. Goodbye, Johnny McKay. A celebration of John's life will be held at a later date, due to provincial restrictions. |
