Donald Harry Cass of Bruce Beach and Kincardine, died July 15, 2020, at the Owen Sound hospital. He was 87. Reunited with his wife, Joyce Cass (2001). Cherished and loved by his four sons, John (Christina), Brian (Karen), Scott (Nancy), and Jim (Deb). Loving grandfather of Daniel, Steven, Jacob, and Ryan. Also survived and greatly missed, by his sister, Liz Hewitt of Windsor; and several nieces and nephews. Don was born and raised in Walkerville, where he met and married Joyce Eastman. For 35 years, he worked as a sales executive at Hiram Walkers in Windsor before relocating to Toronto. In 1998, he and Joyce happily retired to the farmhouse and family cottage at Bruce Beach. Don will be remembered for his active community service, including Huron Township council, director of the Pine River Watershed Initiative Network, director of the Bruce County Children's Aid Society, and a trustee on the Bruce County Board of Education. He was also a dedicated member of the Huron Shores Lions Club. Everyone who met Don knew he was so full of life and he would talk to anyone about anything. A private family visitation and funeral will be held at MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley, with Rev. Eric Williams officiating. Interment, Lurgan Cemetery. A Celebration of Don’s life will be held a later date.
