September 5, 2020 |
David William Buchanan Edward of Kincardine, formerly of Goderich, died peacefully at his home, Sept. 5, 2020, after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was 45. Survived by his loving and devoted wife, Chauncey Jackson; their son, Sam; and his other children, Owen, Sierra and Madelyn. Also survived by his parents, Don and Linda Edward of Goderich; and his sister, Laurie (Ken Glover) of Canmore, Alberta. In his time, David made many deep and lasting friendships, and truly cherished the experiences that life offered. He had amazing inner strength and kept a great attitude and sense of humour even as his body increasingly failed him. He will be deeply missed by his cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews with whom he had special bonds; and remembered by the many friends and associates whose lives he touched. David’s family expresses sincere gratitude to Chauncey’s immediate and extended family for the love and support they have provided for many years, and appreciation to Dr. Appavoo and members of the caregiving team. The family hopes to celebrate David’s life with friends and loved ones at a future date. Memorial donations to the Robarts Research Institute at Western University, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy; arrangements entrusted to the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley; www.mackenzieandmccreath.com/. |
