Wilma Jean (née McLeod) Robinson died peacefully at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, at the age of 93. Survived by her daughter, Sharon (Stew) Taylor of Owen Sound; and her son, Dennis (Susan) Robinson of Kincardine; her four grandchildren, Carrie (Art) Houghton and Holly (Jamie Kress) Robinson, both of Kincardine; Angela Bolton of Owen Sound, and Matt (Erin) Taylor of London; as well as her seven great-grandchildren, Emily, Richard and Stewart Bolton, Jake and McKinna Colley, and Jared and Trent Houghton; and sister-in-law, Gerry McLeod. Predeceased by her husband, Lorne Robinson; her parents, William and Mary Jane McLeod; her brothers, Murray (Helen) McLeod, Carman McLeod, Donald McLeod, and Mervyn McLeod; her sisters, Doris (Len) McCarthy, and Mildred (Jack) Small; and her sister-in-law, Winifred Robinson. Wilma was Nana to everyone, not just her immediate family. She was selfless in her dedication to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her extended family of nieces and nephews, her friends and her community. She took great joy in making delicious meals and special treats as she was an amazing cook and baker. Wilma and Lorne farmed on the Northline in Kincardine Township for their entire married life. In later years, she moved to Malcolm Place in Kincardine, and then to RVilla in Ripley, where she received wonderful care. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, the Kincardine United Church, or Huron Shores Hospice, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be made by contacting the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, at 519-396-2701; www.daveylinklaterfuneralhome.com/ |
