PAMELA ANN (née PARRISH) JANECEK |
November 14, 2020 |
Pamela Ann (née Parrish) Janecek of Waterloo and Kincardine, died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, at the age of 77. She arrived in Canada in 1982, and after many years in Sarnia, she moved to Waterloo. Survived by her beloved husband, Milo; son, Lee (and Eva); and three fabulous grandchildren, Ari, Tali and Ellie. Pam worked at the headquarters for Spanner where she made many long-lasting friendships. From April to November, she stayed in her Happy Place - Kincardine. She loved her old house that stands within arms’ length of the lighthouse! Last year, Pam was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease), but that didn’t stop her from walking through downtown Kincardine in June, 2020, raising $4,000 for the ALS Society of Canada, in her virtual Walk to End ALS. Following Pam’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A “final party” will take place at a later date. Many thanks to Janice for all the love, care and help with special events; and to Cathy, my personal nurse and cheerleader. Memorial donations to the ALS Society of Canada or Huron Shores Hospice, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy; arrangements entrusted to the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine; www.daveylinklaterfuneralhome.com/ |
