Daniel Karpyshyn, 36, of Vanastra, died tragically Dec. 15, 2020, in a car accident. Dearly missed by his partner, Kim Rapley; and daughter, Aurora Karpyshyn-Rapley of Vanastra; and son, Nathan Mahon. Also survived by his brother, Joe and Lisa Karpyshyn of Clinton; sister, Taylor Karpyshyn and Vincent Champeval of Marsh Lake, Yukon Territory; grandmother, Lois Walden of Lucknow; mother, Lynda Walden of Niagara Falls; and father, Mark Cyluck of Calgary, Alberta; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his cherished grandfather, Glen Walden of Lucknow. Dan was born Aug. 29, 1984, in Victoria, British Columbia, finishing high school at F.E. Madill Secondary School in Wingham. He was working at EFS Plastics night shift in Listowel. Dan loved soccer and the summer baseball teams he played with since a boy. He grew up also loving movies, video-gaming and family time. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral will take place at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow. In lieu of flowers, donations toward a trust fund for Aurora, are greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Final resting place, Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow.
