Murray Leighton Johnson of Kincardine died peacefully at home, Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, in his 81st year. He leaves to mourn his wife of 58 years, Jean (née Geddes); and sons, Mark (Sheri) of Olds, Alberta, and Jeff (Jackie) of Georgetown, Ontario. Loving grandfather of four granddaughters, Abbey, Halley, Maggey and Faith. Also survived by brothers, Robert and Brian; sisters, Margaret Hedley, Lillian Cottrill, Leigh Remington and Cathy Tang; and sisters-in-law, Geraldine Johnston and Marian Geddes. Murray farmed most of his life on the Northline in Kincardine Township. He ran a dairy operation for 20 years and later raised registered Texas Longhorn cattle. He was always available to lend a helping hand and liked nothing better than sitting down and reminiscing. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy, and can be arranged on-line or by contacting the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine; www.daveylinklaterfuneralhome.com/.
