JOHN CLAZIE "JACK" RIBEY

John Clazie “Jack” Ribey of Bruce Township died peacefully at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Eilean (nee Orr). Loving father of Ronald and his wife, Robin Fieldhouse; Paul and his partner, Mike Doig; and Marianne Ribey and her partner, Brad Johnston. Dear brother of Marj Monk; and brother-in-law of Phyllis Ribey and Joyanna Willett. Predeceased by his sister, Helen Kelly; brothers, Jim Ribey and Don Ribey; and brothers-in-law, Orville Monk, John Sutherland, Charles Kelly, and Lloyd Willett. Fondly remembered by the Orr family and his many friends from the 12th of Bruce. Jack was a farmer on the 12th Concession of Bruce Township and will be remembered as a well-respected community member. He was patient, even-tempered and kind, and never wanted to live anywhere but Bruce Township. He was also a long-time, faithful member and supporter of Wesley United Church. Friends will be received Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, from 7-9 p.m., at the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin. A graveside service will be held at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin, Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
