Allister MacKay of Ripley, beloved husband of the late Pearl MacKay (Kobe), died at the Kincardine hospital, Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, in his 97th year. Born in Kincardine, Nov. 11, 1924, he was the son of the late Mary (Courtney) and Alexander McKay. Greatly missed by his daughters, Judy Finlayson of Walkerton; Nancy and Edward Brown of Lucknow; Marg and Kevin Moorehouse of Calgary, Alberta; Elizabeth and Dennis Fry of RR 1, Cargill; and Allison and Paul Wilken of RR 1, Kincardine. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and special companion, Duffy. Predeceased by his son-in-law, Bill Finlayson; and five brothers, Grant, Calvin, Hector, Elmer and Wilmer. Allister farmed for many years, and was a great musician, playing the saxophone with the Celebration Singers for a number of years.
