Former Town of Kincardine mayor, Donna Ada Wilson-Kennedy (née Wilkinson) of Kincardine, died peacefully, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, in her 84th year. Cherished wife of Irving Kennedy. Deeply missed by her children, Larry (Debbie Bolan) Wilson, Dorinda Cummings, Carol Anne (Glen) Chaput, and stepsons, Bryan Eric Kennedy, Vincent Bradley Kennedy and Brent Darren Kennedy. Loving grandmother of Phoenix Ross, Wayland John, Brooke (Quinn), Courtney, Sarah (Justin), Curtis (Melissa) and Blair; and great-grandmother of Hudson, Zoey and Violet. Fondly remembered by her sister, Sharon (George) Skinn; and brothers-in-law, Errol Edward Kennedy and Clive Orison Kennedy. Donna will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her first husband, Angus Ross Wilson (1992); her parents, Ken and Margaret (née Mighton) Wilkinson; son-in-law, Scott Cummings (2012); and her sisters, Marjorie McKenzie and Joan Wissler. Donna was elected to the former Town of Kincardine council in 1971. She served as reeve from 1985-87, became acting mayor in 1988, and was mayor from 1989-91. She served on the Canada Day committee, Kincardine Public Library committee, Kincardine and District Community Centre Recreation Board, the industrial committee, BNPD Impact Advisory committee, economic development committee, Regional Tourist Council of Grey and Bruce, and the parks and tourism committee. Donna was also a member of the Kincardine Legion for more than 30 years, serving on the executive and various committees for many years. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, starting at 1 p.m..
