When not nursing or raising her children, Gerda loved participating in several ladies’ sports leagues: the Ancaster Ladies 3-Pitch league and the Ancaster Ladies Volleyball league. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends at her cottage in Point Clark. Gerda was a beautiful soul who loved life and never gave up hope that she would beat cancer. She had an irresistible smile and a warm personality that drew all into her circle of friends. She lived life to the fullest till the day she died. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all who knew and loved her. Thanks to her physicians at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Dr. Khazemi and Dr. Greenspoon, the members of their teams, the staff at the RESSCU unit, and her family physician, Dr. S. Szarka.
