ROYSTON LLOYD "ROY" WOODROW

Royston Lloyd “Roy” Woodrow of Kincardine, and formerly of Niagara Falls, died peacefully, Saturday, July 30, 2016, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, after a long struggle. He was 86. Born in London, England, March 9, 1930, he was the son of the late Jack and Lillian (née Lloyd) Woodrow. Roy served with the Royal Signal Corp in Korea, had a successful business career with the Niagara Parks Commission, and had a great love of sailing and for his dog, Gypsy. He is survived by his son, Stephen Woodrow; his sister, Joan Wood; several nieces and nephews, including Christine Wood, Jennifer Webb and Margaret Breen, as well as many great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wives, June (Stephen’s mother) and Teresa; his brother, John Woodrow; and brother-in-law, Stanley Wood. A memorial service to celebrate Roy’s life will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Ken Craig officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
