Robert “Rob” Kazimierz Waddell of Tiverton, died May 5, 2022, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, after a brief illness, with his family by his side. He was 54. Beloved husband of Carolyn. Proud and loving father of Faith Ducker (Kenny), Joel, David and Noah Waddell. Cherished Grandpa of Audrey and Adele. Loving son of Roberta Waddell. Brother of Don Waddell (Sue), Scott Waddell and Tyler Waddell. Fondly remembered by his in-laws, Jacob and Grace Redekopp, and Joy and Rob Delmore; nieces and nephews, and Aunt Gloria; as well as other aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his father, Geoff Waddell; and Uncle Alexander “Sandy” Waddell. Rob was a much-loved family man. You may remember him from his days as a cashier at Sobeys Kincardine or as the director of the Upper Deck Youth Centre in Kincardine. For approximately the past 10 years, he worked as a truck driver. Rob had many passions and possessed an adventurous streak. His latest project was creating his own YouTube channel, featuring family, dogs and a 54-year-old man learning how to create a YouTube channel. But above everything, Rob’s family and service to God were most important to him. Family will receive friends at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Port Elgin Missionary Church, 650 Green St., Port Elgin, with Pastor Gary Harvey officiating. Interment, Kincardine Cemetery, with graveside service May 11, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. If so desired, donations in Rob’s memory to ShareWord Global Canada (Gideons), Southwestern Ontario YFC/Youth Unlimited, or a charity of choice, would be appreciated by the family. |
