Lorne Samuel Antonette died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Dorothy Antonette (nee Heys); and loving father of the late Robert Antonette.(1991). Lorne was born Aug. 23, 1928, to Michael and Emily Antonette, in Guelph, Ontario. His working career began with the Canadian Pacific Railway, on the Trenton to Smith Falls line, and when he retired, he was working at Douglas Point in Tiverton. He also raised horses - he was a standard breed trainer and driver at the local racetracks. He loved new cars, horses, and the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were both activities he enjoyed. He was also an excellent wood-carver, focusing his creative skills on horses and birds. Lorne was a generous, helpful man and a good friend. He loved dogs and always had a little treat in his pocket for his canine friends. He will be fondly remembered by his friends and many others who knew him. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Lorne’s life will take place at a later date. Final resting place, Kincardine Cemetery.
